You hit the throttle and the car accelerates, yet the lap time doesn’t improve. The lap feels clean, the line is correct, and there are no obvious mistakes. That’s exactly what makes this situation frustrating.

The issue is that you’re looking in the wrong place. In GT3 cars, lap time is not mainly lost on corner entry, but on corner exit. And it’s also the hardest phase to read, because the mistake is rarely obvious.

Most drivers think the problem is how much throttle they apply. In reality, the key factor is when you apply it relative to the grip available.

Tires have a limited amount of grip that must be shared between steering, braking and acceleration. You cannot use all of it at the same time without losing traction .
